Solution Phillip Corcoran May 7, 2018 I think at the very least the battery will be useless now if it hasn't been charged up for a year. Laptop should work on mains power though - - may be you need to remove that useless battery first. Also you could check the fuse in the plug of the mains cable - - may need replacing. Otherwise, let a repair centre take a look at it.
