Asus Laptop performance

i have Asus K53E-SX058V laptop with an i3-2330m and integrated graphics. it has 4 gb ddr3 ram and a 450gb hdd. what would improve gaming for me? is there an aftermarket gpu that would be compatible? or better ram? or upgrade the cpu? or just save and get a new laptop? money is tight so what ever i do i will have to save for it but want to stay as low price as possible.

Save and get a new laptop. Having integrated graphics will cripple your gaming, not to mention it won't be possible to upgrade much beyond the hard drive and RAM.

im only doing light gaming like WoW and Rift. nothing extreme. my brothers i5 laptop with integrated runs it fine. but he as hd 4000 graphics and mine is an olde i3 with hd 3000 graphics. would it be worth it to upgrade the cpu (if possible) or gpu (again if possible). i am fairly knowlegable with desktops but new to laptops and need to use a laptop more now due life changes that require travel often. thanks for the help.

You're not updating the integrated graphics anytime soon. It might be possible to update the CPU, but any gains would probably be negligible.

Is there no way to put a discrete card in a laptop?
