Ok so here's the deal. When I start up my computer, every so often my computer will just start saying "system failed cpu test." It'll keep going for a while. Sometimes is starts up and stops then starts up again. ITS VERY ANNOYING! =( The thing is that my computer works fine. I can use all aps and everything works fine. It just won't shut up.

Things I've tried:
flashed the bios and updated them
shut off the voice post reporter in the bios
neither worked...

System specs:
MOBO: Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
PROC: AMD XP 2500+
VIDEO: PNY Nvidia 6800 GT
RAM: 1 gb (2 - 256, 1 - 512) geil golden dragon pc3200
PSU: Fortron FSP350-60PN P4 ATX 350W

Help me please....I'm sort of a computer noob

try reseting the cmos.

1) shut down machine
2) unplug power cord
3) jump the cmos jumper 15 seconds
4) put the jumper back
5) plug in the power
6) boot ur pc

You can uninstall the Voice reporter on those boards, its in your owners manual. IF you dont have your manual go to the ASUS webstie and it will be there. I would reinstall it, this is a vauable component.

To save us both time, assume I know EVERYTHING

They could have put a sexy voice on there couldnt they. The good thing about it is it can be edited with another voice simply by recording. Im going to find some sexy sound gal to record my messages.
