I found a p4p800-e at goodwill. i bought it to use all of my old parts such as corsiar extreme speed LED ram and sparkle agp card. i had a 3.2 1m 800 p4 processor and a few old ide drives.
anyhoo..
i was only able to get this motherboard to boot from the secondary ide port on a single hard drive just to pick its brain. i do have an install and have been tinkering but i want to use the raid system on my 2 old 20g hard drives. i am able to get in the fastrack control and configure the array and it is recognized in boot menu and set to second boot but when windows prompts device to install the array is not found.
are there any die hard 478 users still out there that know how this thing works.

What do you mean " if i am prompted to diskette only when i make the cd what do i do? " ?

Do you mean when that message shows up during the download the program ( iata55_enu.exe ) into the USB or during the installation?
I am able to use the fastrack bios and assign the array and normal boot pmenu recognizes them as fstrk arry but windows 7 does not see them. am i missing some software? i remember xp prompting to set up raid when installing but 7 does not do the same.

there are 3 downloads. 2 will not run stating the chipset does not support and the third is a floppy file and when i run it it asks me to insert diskette and i do not have a floppy
