Is it all right to use Zalman 7000Cu with P4PE or is it too big
for that mobo?

The Zalman site www.zalman.co.kr has compatibility lists for some
of their products. On this particular webpage, a motherboard is
compatible if it is NOT on the list.

As instructed in the webpage, you need to check the dimension from
the socket 478 to the power supply, as the fins from the 7000 stick
out far enough, they can bump into the power supply.

Yes I know that site, but I like to be certain before I buy
that cooler and thats why I`m asking if someone could tell
more detailed information.

I believe the 7000Cu is the same as the 7000AlCU as far as dimensions go.
I have already researched the 7000alcu myself and have conclusively been
told and seen pictures of it installed without a problem.

True, but it still depends on the case because some of them place the
motherboard so close to the power supply that there's not enough room
between the CPU and the PSU to fit the great big heatsink of the 7000.
If the P4P's CPU socket is far enough from the upper edge of the MB
that the heatsink would not extend beyond the edge of the MB, then
MB-PSU separation would not be a consideration.

The Cu and AlCu are virtually the same dimension. But weight is another
matter. I went for the AlCu because I lifted the Cu model before I bought
it. I swear I dont know how those little plastic Zif socket arms could hold
it reliably. It weighs more then some power supplies.

I have a Zalman 7000 Cu installed on my P4P800 Delux MB with no problem.
Never had any problem with it running into anything else...

I have the CU version in my P4PE box now for over a year, great cooling, low
noise and no problems!
Best cooler I have tried yet
