Asus p5n32-e 4 gb ram

Hello,
I am wanting to upgrade to 8Gb on this Mobo, the Stats say it can take it, but I don't want to slurge on the RAM only to be disapointed. Currently running Two sticks of 1GB PC-6400-DDR2-400 4-4-4-12 and wanting to upgarde. Do you have any suggestions on what ram I should get and ideas on install configurations?
