Do you need the extra expansion of the ATX board vs. micro-ATX?

The Gene-Z is cheaper.

The V Pro has a GEN 3 version available while the gene-z/GEN 3 hasn't hit the shelves yet (but expected soon). That's important if you want to get a PCIe 3.0 card in the future. ***Note- Ivy Bridge required to actually use the PCIe 3.0.
