I was wondering how it work (graphically) the "anti surge" system for asus gpu(rog matrix and astral 5080 5090 and should also 4090), it say that notify you so the questions are:
Notify by the app(so a proprietary overlay) or windows? if from windows, if you turn off notification basically you are gg or it override?
If anyone know well pls reply cause I can t find a single video of it

Hey there,

It took me a while to find anything on this at all. Asus Power detect seems to be a LED system for troubleshooting Asus GPU status - https://www.asus.com/me-en/support/faq/1049767/

It's the LED that indicates what is happening with the GPU. What do you mean by notification 'in overlay or windows'?
actually is a feature on the tweak 3 software that report how the amps are distributed on the 12vhpwr connector wires and if there is an anomaly it send a notification, the led is another thing it turn off when the connector is well plugged

I may be wrong but I think op is asking if there's a notification on your monitor if the led comes on.Which is a good question. I don't see people checking the actual leds on the gpu itself while gaming.
Hmmm. Okay. Yes, I wouldn't be staring at my GPU to see if it's lights are the correct colour either. I just fired up GPU Tweak 3 and I can't find anything with reference to OP's question.

there is a notification, I m asking if it is with windows system notification(so if in not disturb you don t get it and is gg for the gpu) or with an app pop up

I m not finding the exat asus page but it does an example if you are with the app open, my question is if you are playing (or doing anything)it does send a notification but it does with an app pop up or is sent with the windows notification system? cause if I have no disturb option on with wind notify sys it will basically doom the gpu

So, lets take a step back here.

What are you worried about? Is it the amount of voltage going to the GPU, or is it the temp of the GPU that you want to see notifications for?

I mean, you can set up the OSD to show nearly all key metrics for the GPU on your screen while playing. So you won't need notifications on anything. You can see it right in front of you when you play.

neither.
I try to explain better.
Asus on rog and astral model gpu that mount 12vhpwr have a "special" implementation that basically are like 6 sensors, via software they added the power detector+ while already there was the power detector+led.
Basically this thing via software(tweaker 3) can monitor the 12vhpwr lines, all the 6 and display the amps.
When the amps for a single line get higher then 9(9.5) it give you an alarm but if the app is in background it send a notification.
Now the poin of my answare, the notification is pop up from the app like windows vista or via the windows 11 notification system?if so if you insert no disturb mode (in win notification sys) is the gpu basically gg?
