For reasons unknown to me, Asus has discontinued the W7604 model. I cannot find it anywhere—it is completely sold out. I did come across a used unit, but it is priced the same as a brand-new one was. I also noticed that Asus released the H7606 as a replacement for the H7604, so I assume they will eventually release a W7606 to replace the W7604.
From what I’ve seen, the W7604 appears to be an excellent product—high performance with a well-designed cooling system. I don’t understand why Asus decided to discontinue it. I’d love to hear from someone well-connected in the industry who might have insight into what happened to this model.
