Asus r9 270 not working on Asrock h81-hds

Hi when i'm pluging the hdmi on the card it only says on the screen hdmi not detected but the on board intel hd works? Please help me this is my first custom pc

ok first get this http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,20.html
run the program and select yes to go in safemode then select option 3 when in safe mode now unplug the hdmi from the onboard graphics and plug into the gpu it should boot up fine and install the lastest drivers and your done

No it still doesn't work

The gpu get's the power and the fans spin but it doesn't detect the gpu only the intel hd
