[SOLVED] ASUS ROG STRIX B360-F GAMING doesn’t work

Hi,
Bit of backstory: I recently bought a new motherboard (B360-F GAMING as the title says), because the RAM-dimm in my old mobo was fried. After completely swapping my components I pressed the powerbutton, it boots for about 0,5s until the led with “CPU” next to it flashes turning the machine off immediately. The rgb integrated in the I/O-shroud powers on (and stays on), and the led with SB_PWR next to it turns on.

everything is plugged in correctly.

Components:
CPU: Intel core i7-7700
GPU: inno3D geforce GTX 1060 3GB
RAM: TridentZ RGB 16GB 2x8 3000MHz
SSD: Crucial MX500
PSU: Corsair VS650
CPU-cooler: Corsair H100x

I also have an ASUS wifi card plugged in and 4x coolermaster masterfan MF120R ARGB.

Any suggestions?

The B360 only supports 8th and 9th gen cpus, your 7th gen cpu isn't supported.

Thats a real bummer, because I love the asthetics of the B360... I’ll dismantle everything and send the motherboard back to my retailer.

Are there any other ROG STRIX motherboards that do support my 7th gen?

Asus had a few Strix B250, H270 and Z270 boards, but maybe hard to find now.

Found a Z270 by Asrock, a micro-ATX. I’m swapping to a Corsair Crystal 280X because my case doesn’t close anymore due to my cable management being to bulky...
