Hi Forum,

I bought the ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q yesterday and the monitor is impressive so far. However, I have noticed I have one dead pixel in the center on the screen. The dead pixel is only noticeable when on black backdrop/screens. The pixel is a sliver/white color.

Has anyone else had a similar issue with the PG278Q? I am thinking to return the monitor for a replacement. Like I said, the dead pixel is only noticeable on black screens, but I expect near perfection for a $840 (with tax) monitor. Has anyone else experienced dead pixels with this monitor?

Thanks,

Trey

I'm fully aware of the replacement being the only option. I haven't read much written on other people having the same issue with this monitor, hints the reason I posted the question in this forum. Anyone else experienced dead pixel with this monitor?

Just bought mine 2 days ago
got one dead pixel Far left center

am i going to give it back yes lol
because it will eat me away every day i look at it

with all the problems people are having with this monitor though i am terrified i mite get one even more screwed up

if i get another bad monitor i will probably get the BenQ XL2420G g sync 1080p 144 hertz 24 inch

Thought I would update my original post. I've had the PG278Q for almost a year now and the dead pixel issue hasn't gotten worse. Still one dead pixel that is BARELY noticeable. All-in-all I am VERY pleased with the purchase.
