Asus Router Wireless Connectivity Issues

Asus Router devices can’t connect to wireless but can connect wired to one out of 8 of the total wan ports on the back - the others won’t allow a connection. What should I do?

That’s what I assumed. I’ve had some history with this 88U model. I’ve had it for about a year and up to the last 4-5 months it worked like a charm. Ended up chatting with Asus support several times after updating to most recent firmware, only to be instructed to install a firmware restore tool and revert back to an older version of firmware. So that actually worked for like a month, and now my wifi suddenly dropped completely, my first port on back of wire works whether I’m connected to Xbox, Roku, laptop, or smart tv, etc., but no other ports will allow connectivity. I’ve tried factory restore, tried updating firmware/downgrading firmware, and I’m at a loss. I have a feeling it’s something to do with internal configuration, more so than hardware, as I’ve crossed this hurdle before. Any other suggestions? Or am I just out $300+ after a year?

It is worth a shot, but have you tried Merlin firmware -- https://asuswrt.lostrealm.ca/about

Except his WIRED ports aren't working... Nothing to do with wireless config on router or host ...

Coincidentally enough, I did install the most recent version of Merlin firmware a few hours ago, before performing factory reset and even using firmware restoration tool to revert back to an older Asus firmware - to no avail. 2.4GHz light is on and I can connect wired through all ports now, but wireless ssid will not show under available networks on any one of my wireless devices. 5GHz light does not come on AT ALL. I have no idea what to do.
