Hello,

I have the Asus RT-N12 and at my old apartment it was set as my router. I now have moved and have roommates who already have a router in use. I want to use the repeater function of this router but when I follow the instructions given by asus I hit a wall. They say to switch to repeater mode, plug it into a client on the network, and then launch quick installation setup by opening an internet browser. Unfortunately when I use a wired connection to the old router I cannot even navigate the internet because my computer is interpreting it as being hard wired to the router for my old network. is there a way to factory reset the monitor? Thanks

I think the missing link is something I found elsewhere:

You need to get to this address:

<Repeater IP Address>/survey.asp
192.168.1.1/survey.asp

This is where you are able to select a wifi network to attach to. Once I found this URL (that has no link anywhere in the firmware pages) I got my RT-N12 working in a few moments.

Hello,
I've got a Asus RT-N12 Wireless router and I can get it to be a reapeater just fine. Is there a way to make the reapeater use a different ip subnet. For example in part of my office they use XXX.XXX.1.5 but I'd like my repeater to be setup to extend the wireless network and use XXX.XXX.6.1 in a different part of the office.

Can this be setup using the latest Asus firmware??

Thanks, ED
