Nice. As if any game will utilize more than 4GB of RAM anyway!

The single problem with the powerhouse laptops is the power consumption, battery life is like under an hour gaming. If you can plug in, these machines are killer!

I know even my laptop (old now) has a T7400… and it is a power hungry beast. I guess these are the choices we have for now… power/a lot of energy required OR weak/low power.

If you look at all the crapware they install on your laptop, add up anti-virus software and other things, you can easily need more than 4gb of RAM, if you get 8gb you can disable PageFile which is a great plus.

Gateway is releasing a new gaming notebook? Gateway is still around?

HAHA!

Damn, you beat me to the punch. I thought they died out after those horrible commercials ended. I guess not.

If you don't light it on yes. 😉

I couldn't even imagine battery life, my 2 yo hp with the centrino duo 1.73 go7600 and 2gigs can barely last 1 hour to 1.5 hours unplugged.

yah this laptop looks ok im running a gateway p-68xx fx(4gb pc667,dual 250gig 7200 rpms, upgraded to T7100 1.8 35w,8800 with hacked desktop drivers the key to the gaming laptops is get a class 6 sd card with 8gigs for virtual memory turn off hd cashing and get a card reader for your express slot for torrents and docs put an ssd in the pci-e slot where your wifi card is curently remove the 5400rpm hd for a 7200rpm/ssd

Any gaming machine with more than 6 gb is enough to play any game however is always better have extra memory because the people are making better games and required more performance but 12gb is a lot!!!
