Hi All
Really stuck with this All the literature says the CPU/RAM and Mb are all compatible but even replacing both MB and CPU I still get the white VGA LED coming on, then the yellow LED under it (bit not as bright if that makes a difference)

Ram is corsair LPX vengeance DDR4 2666 so again, in the compatible list

PSU is a 100w Corsair, I changed it our from an enemax galaxy ~
Any thoughts at all would be superb

Yeah, I doubt that. Seems like a typo to me.

What are your FULL hardware specifications including EXACT model numbers.

CPU
Motherboard
Memory kit
Power supply (EXACT model and how long it has been in service)
Graphics card (IF any)
Storage devices
Other possibly relevant hardware like CPU cooler, third party controllers, etc.

You're right it was a typo was 1000 RME

Which LED is actually lit up?
Q-LED (CPU [red], DRAM [yellow], VGA [white], Boot Device [yellow green])

Which DIMM slot are you putting the DRAM in?
It should be in DIMM_A2

I have lots of questions regarding equipment choices, but I'll pin most of those for now and just ask why are you only using one DIMM?

Boot sequence..
Red, then yellow, (both then go out)
White VGA comes on and stays on
After around 5 secs the Yellow VGA comes on but is not as bright (perhaps red herring)

Dimm slot 2 is where I've sat the DRAM

I have a pair of DRAM, I've tried them as a pair in slots 2,4 then 1,3
Then as individual singles in all slots
The tried some other DRAM from a working PC and tested my own - all working as predicted
Happy to answer any questions you have,
I've replaced both MB, CPU and PSU - all are brand new

Is this simply a compatability issue and I need to select a different MB?
If so, really disappointing as all the literature states that this is a solid match

Like I say, thanks in advance and happy to answer any queries you have

Aaaaaand........................so, you are trying to use just the iGPU? No graphics card is installed?
I have a NVIDIA RTX 3090 that I inserted into the board when the issue first arose so went back to basics to eliminate any issues around the kit - I haven't even put any storage in it yet

I'm trusting the alerts on the board to direct me to where the issue lies, perhaps I just go ahead, put all the components in and see if the issue is bypasse.
I'm not confident in that as the boot LED is also lit, but may as well give it a go

So you are saying that even with the graphics card COMPLETELY removed from the motherboard, and the display cable connected to one of the motherboard outputs from the iGPU, you get nothing, at all?
In short, yes
I have only the CPU and one DRAM module in and the VGA light is still being lit up.
I'm looking at another MB to try - not the same model.

I'm feeling that, despite the literature confirming it, there's a compatibility issue here

Replaced the CPU with another brand new one - still the same

So thanks to Amazon I have a different board (rog-strix-b760-a-gaming-wifi-d4) to try with the proc - Same again!
I'm convinced it's a compatibility issue with the i9 proc
Sequence:

power up - red LED comes on for a couple of Secs then disappears.
Then DRAM light comes on for the same amount of time, then goes out
After about a five delay the white VGA light comes on
Then three secs after that the yellow boot light flicks on too

This has happened with both the TUF and the ROG

I've replaced every component and I'm still stumped

I've reported this to ASUS but tbh not holding out too much hope

THanks to all so far

You do have it connected to a monitor (DP or HDMI should be fine) just in case it's posting right?

There's no such thing as a compatibility issue with hardware that is all compatible with each other out of the box. So the lights either aren't lighting up the way they should or you have a KF/F processor.

They've tried it with an RTX 3090 as well as the integrated graphics.

The serial number confirms it's a K proc
