Hey,
I was looking for a new laptop and stumbled on the TUF series.
I saw on a few threads talking about the ROG series that a preinstalled Windows is recommended as there are tweaks that Asus does that increases performance or allow certain customizations.
Is this also true of the TUF series and should I do a clean install to avoid all the bloatware?

For context, I've got my eyes on the an Asus Tuf A15 with a Ryzen 7 7000s and an RTX 4050/60, mainly for gaming and programming so I need 32GB RAM.

If there are any recommendations for a better laptop in the same price range, please say.

I personally prefer leaving what's on the laptop out of the box unless you're seeing performance issues. They usually come with bloatware which does take some of your resources and in turn reduces your laptop's overall performance.

If you plan on reinstalling the OS on your laptop, create your bootable USB installer using Windows Media Creation Tools then install the OS in offline mode, then manually reinstall all drivers in an elevated command(with the latest versions) sourced off of Asus support site. The GPU driver, you can download the latest drivers from Nvidia's support site, in an elevated command, .e Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

We don't know where you're located, how much the laptops are costing you where you're located and what sort of specs you're looking for.

Nothing really wrong with current preinstalled Windows.

You can turn off/disable a lot of stuff as it completes the install.

Used to be, preinstalled systems would include all sorts of junk like "PC Doctor" or various forms of a trial of the very intrusive Norton.
Not so much any more.
