Considering buying an Asus Tuf Gaming Z890 Pro Wi-Fi motherboard, but I needed to get some clarifation surrounding Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 capabilities:

1. The board has 2x rear TB4 Type C connectors, as well as an internal Thunderbolt header for AIC. I thought the 2x rear TB4 type C ports were for connecting to onboard TB4 that is built into the motherboard. Am I wrong...do you also need to purchase an AIC. If the board has onboard built in TB4, then why the internal TB header?

2. Do the same two same rear connectors also enable USB4 transmission, and if so, at what maximum speed...40, 20, 10, or 5 Gbps?

I've read the manual, and it is unclear to me. That manual can be found at:

Many thanks.
