I just bought this over my 22 in acer x223w, thinking that picture, video, and games would be much clearer, considering it's 1080 and led. When I got it, and set it up, I was wrong. I don't know much about monitors, but I was recommended this. The 1080 videos I try to play are EXTREMELY grainy and blurry. The images are the same way. I've messed with the setting and everything but to no avail. I have a radeon hd 5770 card.
Is there a fix to this grainyness, or should I exchange for something else. If so, could you please recommend?

Have you calibrated it yet? That will usually solve a lot of issues. Also, make sure all your applications are set to run at 1920x1080. For text, run the clear type calibration (if you're using Win 7 - it has easy calibration tools for both color and text). The images shouldn't be grainy or blurry - the ASUS has a slightly tighter pixel pitch than your old monitor (faster response times too).

Ok..Like I said I'm a newb at this lol. How exactly do I calibrate it? I looked at the monitor menu settings, and there was no option of the sort..Unless that's lcd overdrive?
And the manual it came with only says how to put the monitor together. I actually tried it on a different monitor today, and it is a little clearer. How exactly do I calibrate it? Thanks for the replies.
