Hi!
I got an Asus VG248QE monitor which is being connected to my ROG GL552VW laptop. However there is no 144hz option available when I go to the monitor settings but 60hz.
I'm using a 1,8 meter long HDMI 2.0 to DVI-D cable at the moment. HDMI is the only output port on my laptop, along with the USB type C which is useless for display purposes since alt mode is not implemented...
The laptop supports HDMI 2.0 with the Intel i7-6700HQ and nvidia GTX 960m. (the monitor is handled by the igpu all the time)
Is the cable too long? Or is there something up with the conversion of the cables or how the heck can I make use of the 144hz for CSGO?
In theory converting from HDMI 2.0 to DVI-D or DisplayPort would be a 1:1 conversion. Could someone please help me find a solution? (buying new pc/egpu is not acceptible )
