Asus VG278HE - 1440p resolution

Hello All,

I have recently purchased Asus VG278HE monitor whose max resolution is 1080p at 144 Hz but from what I noticed is that Im able to set 1440p resolution at 100Hz.

Not sure if this is ok? Will it damage my new screen if i use 1440p resolution.

I have AMDs HD 7950 GPU and FX processor.

just use 1080p 144Hz as you monitor cannot display 1440p....

my gpu is running is real hot since i got this new monitor.

old one was a view sonic one 17 inches with max res of 1400*900 at 75 hz

gpu temp is 50 degrees as soon as i turn on the pc

is this normal for high resolution monitors?
