Asus VH242H audio in.

Hi,
I basically want to use my Asus VH242H monitor as speakers and connect a phone or something to the 3,5mm audio in port. When I do it, no sound comes out whatsoever. I also have my computer routed through HDMI, and the sound is working through there, but I want to connect something else as an addition.
Do any of you know, whats wrong?

Try turning off digital audio through HDMI in the Windows audio setting. This should stop any audio from passing through, and taking priority in the monitor. Also look through the settings on the monitor and look if there is a audio switch option to see which input is being used. One of the two should work. Hope this helps and good luck! 😀

Looks like turning it off in windows didnt work, I also disconnected the HDMI cable - nothing happened.
I looked in the menu before, there is only option for display input.

It could also be my M-M audio cable, but I just bought it, so that shouldnt be a problem.
