Asus vs239h with IPS

i already buy the monitor Asus VS239H with IPS (14 milisecond).. i bought monitor first, not CPU yet.. some of people said that IPS monitor is not good for gaming.. is it true? someone please tell me what is the effect if i used the IPS monitor for gaming? is it can cause the game lagging or what? i still not understand..

The IPS monitors are good for gaming. They are used mostly for 3D graphic , design. But for gaming are used monitor with maximum 8 milisecond response time.Your monitor have a preset for games. It should be fine don't worry.

Not a fan of IPS monitors for gaming at all, mainly because the people who buy them dont understand that by default it is utter sh*t for gaming. Make sure you able to put it onto a setting which reduces that HUGE 14ms latency. 5ms+ max imo for gaming; and yes you can tell the difference.

how to change the response time?

From monitor don't have how to change. Just put from setings your monitor on games.
