Hi all.
I have an ASUS X670 e I (the mini itx) motherboard that appears to be having some issues, and I'm not sure if I've messed something up or if it's dead on arrival.

I've rebuilt the system twice. It does not power on at all, however, the HIVE (external part of the chipset so that ASUS could cram an X670 into a mini itx form factor) is getting power, and that is connected via usb to the motherboard that will not boot. I'm also not getting any motherboard warning lights (which are on the HIVE) to indicate a bad cpu or RAM. I can press buttons on the HIVE and they turn on / off like they should, but pressing the power button to turn on the computer does nothing.

I have tried using a different PSU and I know from the cooling loop that the PSU it was built with was functioning correctly. I've tried using a different front panel, I've tried hooking the panel power cable to both places the motherboard manual says you can (though the manual could do a better job at indicating where things go). Again, I completely broke everything down and rebuilt it to make sure everything was inserted properly. Nothing seems to be working.

I know all of the parts are compatible. The CPU is a 7950x, RAM is corsair dominator ddr5 (amd expo), m2 is crucial.

Edit: adding system specs below
Case: Corsair 1000D (and a second PC already in case, hence the two panels) and its got a custom liquid cooling loop.

Components for PC that isn't working:
All components brand new.
ASUS X670 e I wifi mini-itx motherboard
AMD Ryzen 7950x cpu
Corsair Dominator Titanium 6000MT (AMD Expo) ram
Crucial T70 m2. Drive
Corsair sfx 750 PSU

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Might want to inspect the CPU's socket for any bent or broken pins. As for your cooler, might want to see if relieving pressure on the mount helps bring life to the system.

I'll try releasing some pressure from the cpu cooler when I get home. I did check the pins and they looked good to me. I do not know the BIOS version as I cannot get the PC to power on at all (but again, the HIVE is getting power from the motherboard and I'm not getting any lights for faulty components).

Loosening the monoblock didn't work. I noticed the light on the ROG FPS 2 card turns on if I change the alteration mode. Green for mode 1 orange for mode 2. No light for auto. Again, HIVE shows no warning lights and is getting power.
