Hey guys,
So I bought my new PC parts and tried building it yesterday. I have been able to do everything correctly and followed the motherboard manual and instructions. Everything seems fine however when starting up the PC, everything turns on for a second and then switches off, with the motherboard CPU led flashing for a quick second before turning off. I have troubleshooted to the best of my abilities and after unplugging the 8-pin CPU power, it starts up fine and works like a charm. I have checked to see if the CPU or the CPU socket on the motherboard has any damage but cant seem to see any physical damage or bent pins. I've posted some pictures of it (sorry if the quality is bad) to see if anyone else can see damage that I probably cant.
If this is not due to physical damage to either the CPU or the socket, what else could I try? I also have a NZXT Kraken M22 cooler attached to the CPU with pre-applied thermal paste (should I try booting it without the pump attached to the CPU?)
