Why is WHQL so important, i've never had a problem before, then again i only buy name brand motherboards which are mostly ASUS.

WHQL certification is important so when crap goes wrong and someone's blaming it on compatibility you can smack them in the face with the cert that's supposed to guarantee it to work, lol
