I have an Asus A7V with an ATA/66 20.5gig fujitsu drive. I can't get the motherboard to recognize it as an ATA/66 drive. It says UDMA 4.....I check the settings in the bios and I do have an ATA/66 cable. Is UDMA 4 and ATA/66 the same thing or what? I also have an ASUS P5A at it registers the drives as UDMA 2 instead of UDMA 33. Is that the same thing?

Mine is also UDMA 4 on my A7V bios. The way I make sure is by running Sandra 2001. My Hard Drive actually benches about 15% faster than the ATA66 base drive in this benchmark.

ATA/33 = UDMA2
ATA/66 = UDMA4
ATA/100 = UDMA5

This is fact, and is 100% true.
