A sad day for me.

My ATI's fan stopped turning and I am in a world of pain and sorrow.

I'm currently on another computer since my computer locks up even if I surf the net. I guess 9800 creates some heavy duty heat...
But back to the point, what do I do? can I fix it myself?
I bought it over a year ago and a few months so I guess warranty is void by now, or maybe im mistaken and if so, where can I take it, or who do i call?

This card costed me $600 back then, and now im so pis*** off that something like this happens after a year....

anyhows, I really could use your help of anysort.

Thanks and regards,
Dr.Tall

If it's an ATI card it's probably warrantied for 3 years. Otherwise, buy a new cooler.

It's not really a difficult job, just go to your local computer outlet and they should be able to help you select the proper heatsink and fan for your card.

Follow the instructions and replace it.

Could pop on a vga silencer on that card and get better results, hopefully it was the fan that died. If only owning for a year then you should be able to get RMA.

Even an inexpensive aftermarket HSF will do a better job than the stock cooler. Arctic/VGA silencer is a great choice. Don't spend more than $30 though.
