Ati graphics card i need to play crysis on full settings

I have AMD 2.3 quad core processor 8gb of ram (G.skill) and a biostar ta790gx motherboard, and right now I have a 1gb radeon 4670 graphics card that isn't cutting it. What I want to know is what graphics card can i get that will play crysis on full settings?

Well first of all what kind of bugget are you looking at? And there are many many options. Also what resolutions are you trying to run it at? Your mobo will allow you to run Crossfire at 8x/8x. Your only soultions are the new single ATI cards and crossfire. Or the single GTX295 soo sli is not an option in this case.

and as for a budget I want a reasonable price and by reasonable i mean $200 would probably be what i am willing to pay and that is pushing it. i just want the best graphics for the least amount of money. (I was pretty mad to find out that the motherboard i bought didn't support crossfire for the video card i bought, because if it did i probably wouldn't have this problem)

I have a tripple core at 3.5 ghz (phenom II 720) and a 4890 and play crisis at 1920x1080 all settings high (the second highest possible) with 25 fps (not laging good playable)

So for you a 4890 should also be enough otherwise a 5850 no reason to xfire

Save up a lot of money for an upgrade.

GPU generations come and go but the dream of a comfortable speed in Crysis at the highest graphic quality settings remains a dream. For all its 1600 ALUs, 80 texture and 32 raster processors, the Radeon HD 5870 gives up even at 1680x1050, being unable to maintain a comfortable bottom speed. We have to wait for a Radeon HD 5870 X2. Take note that the GeForce GTX 295 is somewhat faster at 1280x1024, but this makes no practical difference between the two cards.

You processor is too slow for one. 3.0-3.4 on an Intel core2 would be beneficial. I run a quad core. As far as graphics cards go..... I have several GTX260's. The Lightning with 1792 memory clocked 675/2200 has absolutely no problems running at 1680x1050 with 8aa. I totally disagree with the caption under that set of graphs and it runs with i7 hardware.

The guy who said the 955 and 5850..... I can say that processor would help you out but can't comment on the 5850. Mine won't be here the middle of next week so have to wait to test.

Find it hard to believe it won't be better than the GTX260's........ though it only has 1gig of memory on board. The GTX260 with 896 memory does have spots where it falters a little and you have to be picky about where you try and turn on the AA.

There is no single card that is capable of providing better than 40 FPS at very high in crysis at 1920x1080, and certainly not within your price range.

The 5850 is a bit out of your price range and is your best option as it falls just short of 30FPS, however and even better option is just to drop it down to high instead of very high, it will boost your FPS considerably and allow you to get playable FPS with something like a 5770 instead.
