When I play some games or even use Google Earth my system crashes and get a bluescreen error. In the toolbar there is a message that says "graphic card stopped responding" or something like that (I don't have English computer). Could this have something to do with the thing that I have only 300W power supply and the card requires 400W. In the control panel in the power control settings I have "recommended settings". The two more options are "best performance" and "power saving". Should I get a new powerful enough power supply and should I change the settings in control panel to "best performance"?

No, as I said during playing some games and google earth. It was just an example.

Try this from Microsoft
http://fixitcenter.support.microso [...] GetStarted

this advice came from this forum
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us [...] 91d?page=3

Thanks, the fix center found 17 troubleshooters. I'll try if solving them helps.

I hope it helps
Please post back if it fixes the problem
we at Toms get emotionally involved in these sort of things you know :)

The fixes unfortunately didn't work. There seems to be much things that can cause the same problem.

I found this http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/737-27116RadeonSeries-ATIKMDAGhasstoppedrespondingerrormessages.aspx when googling. It says that "An inadequate or defective power supply (PSU) can prevent the processor / graphics card from functioning properly" among other possible causes.

I think my games worked a bit longer when I changed the power settings in control panel to "best performance" so are you sure that it's not my power supply.

Anyway, I'll keep looking those and other forums for answers and report here if I find a solution that works.

Thanks for help and involving emotionally! :)
