im having problems at times with my computer bsod'ing on me and a file that crops up is ati.diag file....anybody know what it is...is it a part of the vpu recover?
What are you running when it happens, and what is your setup?
Otherwise my answer is;
'Sure it's that thing that they were talking about earlier, you have to turn off the thing-ma-jig and replace your doohickey before you add the whtchamacllit with those you-know-what drivers.'
Helpful ain't it?!?

using cat 3.10 on a fresh xp sp1 install...tried omegas and my system refused to boot
not a game issue as it does it anytime...all stock speeds as well
edit: now tried rage tweaker and went onto a tweaker guide...switched on/off a lot of stuff and so far all seems good....certainly sped things up a notch....one thing that shocked me....sse and sse2 wasnt even enabled in the cat drivers...i find that a bit sad
Edited by hux on 01/05/04 05:15 AM.

i guess yes just 3d now is amd's instruction set where sse is intel..both were disabled but not one crash since ive used the tweaking guide....strange eh
Was one of the items you turned off FastWrites? Just curious as that is a main cause of alot of crashes. Omegas ship with default FastWrites OFF, but since it wouldn't run with the Omegas, I'm not sure why Rage3D tweak worked.
It is pretty strange to bad you couldn't pin down the culprit. I doubt the instruction set being active or not would cause the BSOD, but it would explain performance increases.
