So then any of those cards should work because I have a PCI-e slot?
They should work. All PCI-E versions are backwards compatible with each other, but I have seen results vary. However there will most likely be no difference for you. Just make sure you have enough room in your case!
Using a ka780g motherboard what would be the best gpu that I can use? The 4670 isn't cutting it lol. Unless it's just vista acting up to where my games freeze and are jittery???

Upgrading to windows 7 will probably improve your performance, vista takes resources and throws them away(personal experience)
The 4670 though, does need an upgrade.

The problem that I have is that I am not sure what will work with my motherboard and what won't.
That GPU will not work with his motherboard. His motherboard has a PCI-E x16 1.0 lane which supports PCI-E x16 2.0, but not 3.0 So a good HD 6xxx series or 5xx series would suffice.

Somehow i had it in my mind that pcie 3.0 was backward compatible with 1.0, you're right.
Now how do you know that? What tell you that it will work?
Wait, nevermind. A lot of other sources say it will work. However, proceed with caution because it may cause stability issues. If you feel this thread has reached its end choose a best answer and we'll be done!

So my motherboard has nothing to do with my choice as long as it is PCI-e? Just wanna make sure I'm clear on this.
Yes. Nothing. However a bottleneck might happen if you put a really expensive GPU in there. Just make sure your power supply can supply enough power to the GPU.
in your example bottlenecking is a card's capabilities being hampered by the speed of say the processor.
-the processor is too slow to instruct the fast graphics card at full capability for example.
