Hello,

I just got a dell computer with a ATI Radeon HD 4200 card. The computer is suppose to be able to handle dual monitors. I have a VGA port and a HDMI port. How can I get dual monitors working?

Thanx!!

Just looked at your card and its two dvi slots a hdmi slot, 2 RAMDACS and two intergrate display ports. so if your not wanting sound thru your monitor you should use the two dvi slots, then go to control palel, display, display settings, and then detect, this should pick up the other monitor

Only reasonable option is to get an AMD 5450 cheap and run 2 vga monitors 1 form vga and 1 from DVI adapter.

This video card is 30 bucks and it should be better than the current video card.
Keep in mind that at this price point it does not include a DVI VGA adapter. So you will have to get that separately, or look for a card that includes the adapter, or maybe you have one.

Or you can get a HDMI monitor. An HDMI in to a VGA out adapter is going to cost more than a better video card that has the out puts you need.
