ATI vs NVIDIA - new build

Hey everyone i recently came on here and asked for suggestions on an i5 build for my best mate. His budget is ~$1500 AUD from www.umart.com.au
*ALL parts have a black or red finish*

I've come up with this:

i5 760 (@~3.2 ghz)
Coolermaster hyper 212+ (push/pull)
4gb Gskill Ripjaws CL9 1600mhz
eVGA p55 FTW
HAF 922 RED
Corsair HX-750
1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3
LiteOn 24x DVDRW Drive


I am tossing up whether to go on the AMD side or if NVIDIA is best

My graphics solutions are either:

AMD - HIS 6870

NVIDIA - eVGA GTX460 SC EE

***Please can someone confirm whether the eVGA motherboard will support AMD/ATI
graphics or whether they simply dont want to mention it becuase eVGA is a Nvidia company****

As for the mobo I guess it supports Crossfire too -

You want to go with the HD 6870, its a little more powerful then the GTX 460.

Now you did it. You opened the ATI/Nvidia can. They're both solid cards, but I'd go ATI for the dollar right now. Plus, they're a lot easier to find in the color scheme you want
