Hey guys,

It's been a year since I have really looked into my computer and I need to upgrade my Video card! When I last was looking at video cards, nvidia was on top. I am not sure how the game has changed...

Currently I have an i7, msi5850 OC, 6gb Ram, 850 antec truepower supply.

I am looking to run 3 monitors, and maybe play some BF3 here and there! I do some editing in the Adobe suite.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=nividia%20680&bop=And&CompareItemList=-1|14-500-238^14-500-238-TS%2C14-130-768^14-130-768-TS%2C14-127-671^14-127-671-TS%2C14-133-469^14-133-469-TS

This is the compare list (everything looks exactly the same to me), budget is $500!

Thanks in advance!

First off, about the 560ti, the build is old and I haven't updated my signature. I sold the 560ti in 2 days because they didn't like eachother. Yes I did literally everything. Got a 7950 and haven't looked back. Also experience doesn't mean that much when technology like this gets outdated so fast. I would say the 4000, 5000, and 7000 have beaten nvidia in recent years. The 700 could easily turn around.
Now to the reason I quoted that message. Racist and idiotic? Iraq is a civilized nation too. You are really backing up your defense well. Show me evidence that isn't outdated that nvidia cards are better, and I will believe you. Also the reason I attacked so fast was because I have seen that exact quote from other people who don't know what they are talking about.

I agree.

My point exactly. You know very well that English is NOT the primary language here. And most of us understand .."own personal experience" .. You attacked so fast because you're arrogant and wants to force people what you want to believe. This thread is basing on what people experienced not with your synthetic benchmark and results that you brag about. Clown

What are you even talking about, with English not being the primary language here? I don't want people to believe what I believe if it is wrong. You still have shown nothing to back it up. Those benchmarks aren't "synthetic" they were actually happened. I am not bragging about anything believe it or not. Also, if you scroll a little bit up in the thread, you will see that I said he should go with nvidia because it make sense in his situation. If you really want own personal experience, here you go. I got a 560ti, it broke, I rmaed it. Got another 560ti, they didn't work in sli for some reason. My friend got a nvidia card, it broke in a few months. Now, me and my brother have had 4 amd cards, all of them have worked flawlessly. So, yes I am biased, but there is also the fact that amd is also objectively better.
Don't attack stantheman123, how is he being an a**kisser, when he has literally nothing to gain from agreeing with me?

Are you trying to tell me that we are barely Civilized???

Now you're telling me that people here can't understand English?? What's this "too" thing you are talking about? ? So we have to be thankful that you consider us as civilized? Is that what you mean?

Well, you are obviously just screwing with me at this point, because I explained what I meant and based that response, you obviously know what I am talking about. Good jobs completely derailing this thread though. Get it back on track or no one is going to respond. I am surprised a moderator hasn't closed the thread yet to be honest.

Haha, well this forum post got super entertaining! I am going with Nvidia for sure because I hated the drivers on ati, and I just don't like my past experience. I'd totally get the 690, but its 4gb for both gpus, so it wouldn't work for the 3 monitor setup im going for. Since new stuff is coming out in april, I will get a 4 GB 670 to hold me over, and then get whatever is badass at that time!

Thanks for all the info. Nvidia is this winner this round!

Good for you. Never said a racist comment, but oh well. Stop posting unless you are going to be constructive. Also, don't say stupid blanket statements.
To the OP, nvidia is better for video editing, which you said you are going to do. So I suppose you should probably go with them, though it pains me to say it because you could get better game performance with a 7970. But anyways, don't waste your money on a 4gb card unless you are positive that you need it because the 2gb hikes up the price like no other.

+1

Thanks for the reply. I think crossfire/sli is something that shouldn't be left out of this conversation.
