Audio and video are out of sync.

Hey,

So since a couple weeks my audio and video are out of sync.

Usually when this happens I can refresh the page and it will work fine, now not so much.

I tried:

- Reinstalling GPU drivers (beta & stable)
- Different browsers
- HTML5 and Flash are affected
- Enable/disable hardware acc.

It's driving me crazy if someone could give their input I'd highly appreciate it.

Where is your audio output? Speaker? Monitor?

I'm using Beyerdynamic DT 990's headphones, been using them for ages now. No problems until now.

Do you have any other type of speaker to try out and see if the delay is present still? Also, are your motherboard/audio drivers up to date?

Output is the same on all devices, tried on some external speakers and earbuds. Did not update mobo/audio drivers since I do not know where or what. I've got a Gigabyte Z97 G1.Sniper motherboard.

but yeah, as far as I can tell those are up to date.

Well, I am unsure. It would be nice to know if this is hardware or software related. There is one way to find out, which would involve

A) reinstalling the OS
B) burning Ubuntu onto a CD/USB and booting to it live and seeing if the sound works properly

Is running a vm fine?

Alright, installed a W7 Pro 64-bit VM. The delay is much worse there.

also tried it on my other disk just in case, same delay (both vm's)

I bought a new monitor recently, but it worked fine until 1-2 weeks ago. Could that be the issue?
