Hello, I hope this is in the right forum, if not, I'd appreciate if you'd let me know where I should be posting this.
I just recently got a HyperX Cloud headset, as a replacement to my Logitech G930 (which is a USB mic/headset). I plugged it in to my desktop (Dell XPS 420) and, while the sound worked great, the computer couldn't detect the microphone. I made sure everything was plugged in correctly, and tried both the front and back audio in jack, and still no detection. I haven't had to use my audio in jack for a long time, so I used some contact cleaner to clean out the jack, but still nothing.
I took the headset and tried it on my laptop, and it worked fine, so I'm assuming it's something wrong with my desktop. I thought it was just a bad jack, but then it's not working for either the front or the back, so I'm not sure. My speakers are working, my G930 USB headset works, and the audio out works.
I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to try and remedy this? I'm not too sure about how to troubleshoot this further. I'm hoping I'm not out of options since I really like the headset.
I am on Windows 10, if that makes any difference. If you need any more info, I'll be glad to provide it.
