[SOLVED] Audio Issues

Hi, I hope this is the right section, I have lost all audio on my pc. I tried updating drivers, but it seems the drivers have vanished, I've also reinstalled windows, but still nothing. I have tried installing RealTek drivers but the install but vanish after restart. I have tried plugging in speakers in the front jack and also have tried headphones in both front and back, nothing seems to work.

My system is as follows;
PC Specialist Vortex Minerva Pro
Windows 11
Intel I5-8400 2.8GHz
Asus PRIME H310M-A Motherboard
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
1 TB HDD (7200 rpm)
120 GB SSD
2 TB HDD Weston Digital Black External

what do you mean by drivers "vanish"?
Device Manager shows generic MS drivers instead of those specifically for your motherboard?
are there any errors regarding audio in Device Manager?

where are you getting these drivers?
are they specifically for Windows 11? if not, it's possible that this board just doesn't support it.

if you're running your display through HDMI or DP and the display offers a 3.5mm audio out,
try connecting your speakers or headphones to this.

include a screenshot of Control Panel > Sound with it's 'Playback' tab showing.

Hi JohnBonhamsGhost, Thanks for the reply. strangest thing i got home from work and switched it on and the drivers are back and sounds working again.
Dont quite understand what happened.

possible that any security software was blocking installation or activation of 3rd party drivers.
