I have a HP compaq pc from a couple years ago, it had worked fine for when it was new, then it was put in my loft for a few years. Recently, Ive started using it in my room, but ever since january, I cant seem to get the audio working. Ive tried reinstalling the realtek drivers, but when I did that, it just uninstalled the driver ther and failed to install the new drivers. I also tried a USB sound card, but it also failed. Now Im stuck and dont know what to do, other than to buy a new pc altogether because some games I cant play because of this problem. I would prefer not having to buy a new computer, because this is the only problem with it, so does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
