FYI, for any of you looking to get your 120hz on, the PCB from overlord does *not* work with these monitors. I don't know why, since they do use the same LG A- panels as in all the Korean 1440 IPS monitors.

So far the only monitors the PCB has been confirm to work with (besides the catleap) are the shimian (drops right in), and the crossover (works, but takes modding to fit PCB in case)

Otherwise, I agree on the good value, though I'd prefer a single input, no scaler/OSD version to minimize input latency.

cheers!

great news that higher res monitors might finally start dropping in price. been wanting to upgrade my dual 1080p setup for a while now.

Actually, once there is a demand for them, the price will probably go up on these (it already has quite a bit). Much like the Chinese TCL HDTVs. Their price has gone up 50%+ since they started selling them on Amazon.

I bought the yamakasi catleap q270 and after 1 months my backlights start blinking ever second.
I don't know what the problem but after only one month i'm really disappointed.
My advise is don't buy monitor with strange name like yamakasi or whatever.

Squaretrade.

im really tired, and am not reading all the comments right now, but this is just a personal opinion...

we need some 24 inch budget monitors in these so people can compare how good this is to what they may be using at home right now.

personally, my current monitor is a syncmaster T240 hd and im sure other people are useing monitors in the ball park of that would would love to jump at a 2560x1440 or 1600 monitor for that price.

Also have the T240 HD.
1) Expensive, but Loved it. Appox $500, If I remember corect.
2) Hard to find 16::10 Monitors
3) Resolution 1920 x 1200
4) Only 1/2 inch less vertical space
.. 3.2 Inch smaller Horiz.
.. approx 52 sq in less viewing area.
.. Lower pixels per square in than the Auria, but Higher than the 27" 1920 x 1080 panels. Text is far better than the 1920 x 1080 27 in dsplays.

.. How it compares to the 2560 x 1440 is a good question, but I'll know by the end of the week when my Asus PB278Q arrives.

PS Dell has the U2713HM on sal for approx $550, still $150 more than the Auria.
OPPS, that was yesterday, just double checked, back up to $600 which is still $50 cheaper than the Asus and $200 more than the Auria

i know when i got it it was 300 or less,

Thanks for the calibration settings. I had my contrast up way too high, and it was distorting the colors. I thought it was too red until I finished tweaking the green setting, and somehow removing green got rid of the reddish/yellow tint, thanks!

I have the BenQ TL2420TX monitor and I highly recommend it if anyone needs a gamimg monitor that has very vibrant colors, fast 2ms GTG response time, 120hz refresh rate, and black equalizer and FPS mode. And it's also the brightest monitor I've ever owned. I think it's rated at 350cd/m, which I think is the highest they make.

I just enjoy this monitor so much, it's the best purchase I've ever made, as far as PC's go, so I figured I'd recommend it.

The monitor in the article doesn't look like it's up to par. But for those in search of a cheap 2560 display, it doesn't seem like a bad one.

Guess you didn't read the instructions. Use DVI for best results.

I've had it since spring. Great monitor, picture quality and response. Play mostly Total War games and quality has been great. Running a Gigabyte GTX 680 overclocked to 1250/6600.
