Auto Detect (digital input) entering power save

My husband is receiving the following error when booting up his computer:

Auto Detect (digit input)
Entering Power Save

and then it completely shuts down. Any ideas why?

Maybe you googled allready, but I found you http://itqueries.com/2010/01/03/auto-detect-entering-power-save-error/...do you by any chance have a Dell ?

Yes wedo have a Dell. It is a XPS 730. Has there been issues with Dell computers

If you follow the link I posted before, you'll notice they are talking about a Dell too.

When looking for a solution, the article talks about the following things:

* a video card problem or a loose cable
* check all the video connections
* reseat the card
* if all failes...replace the card
