I went to boot my computer this morning and the windows load screen keeps coming up with "Preparing Automatic Repair" then goes to "Diagnosing Your PC" then "Attempting Repair" but it comes back stating couldn't repair. I checked the logfiles\SrtTrail.txt which is states and the only error that comes up is the following:

Boot critical file d:\windows\system32\drivers\wof.sys is corrupt.

Repair action: File repair
Result: Failed. Error code = 0x2

Repair action: System files integrity check and repair
Result: Failed. Error Code = 0x2
Time taken = 1328 ms

Any ideas on how to correct this. Tried booting from CD and restoring but my only restore point apparently is corrupted and not usable. Tried file scan and it said it corrected a problem but same thing happens. Cant get past this repair window every time windows goes to boot.

Do a CMOS rest - just to cover it being a bios problem.

If that doesn't help then put it in another PC (not as the OS drive) and do a Diskcheck on it and a Virus Scan and then a manufacturer diagnostic analysis (eg Seagate - use Seatools, WD - Lifeguard)

If that doesn't help, you'll have to re-install Windows. If that doesn't fix it, you'll have to buy a new OS drive.
