Hey, I would really appreciate some help with this, thank you.
So this has been going on for 6 week or so, but I have it narrowed down to two components, my CPU or GPU. My computer was in an automatic repair loop, reinstalled windows, updated BIOS and then it was in an automatic restart loop and took 5 minutes to boot up each time, usually took like 10 seconds.
The Event Viewer shows Error logs WHEA Logger ID 18, reported by processor core, Machine Check Exception with different APIC IDs each time. I brought it to a local computer shop that said my HDD was on its way out (OS is on an SSD).
Bought two new HDDs, tried the OS on one and its the same issue so I know it's not the SSD. Tried swapping the RAM and issue still persists (RAM is 3600MHz sticks and 3600MHz in Task Manager, but defaults to 2400MHz in BIOS?)
Replaced the motherboard (not sure of BIOS version on this one), now it boots fast but still has a restart loop. I can stop the restart loop by disabling the GPU drivers, but then I can't game or put the GPU under load. After enabling GPU drivers it'll restart in 0-30 minutes, then restart constantly until it figures out to disable the GPU drivers or I get a chance to disable them myself. With the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter there's no automatic Restarts and it works fine for display, I'm just not able to put it under load because the MBDA isn't supported by solidworks/games.
Replaced the PSU with an RM850x incase it was a power delivery issue and it is still happening. Ran DDU today and reinstalled latest GPU drivers, still restarts sporadically. I just want to know if its software, the CPU or GPU. Whenever I try using WinDbg to read the LiveKernelReports>WATCHDOG it says there's "No export analyze found".
Upgraded my computer in April 2021, ran perfect and then out of nowhere this started at the start of October.
Here's my build:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
Motherboard: ASUS RoG Strix B550-F Gaming
RAM: HyperX Fury 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3600MHz DDR4
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 390 NITRO 8gb
Storage: 2 × 2TB Seagate HDD, 480GB Kingston SSD PSU: Corsair RM850X
Case: bequiet! Silent Base 802
Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 3
OS: Windows 10 64 bit (not activated due to rebuild)
Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
