AW9D-MAX vs AW9D

from what i have read it looks like the AW9D-MAX and the AW9D are exactly the same, minus a few descrepencies. features i found the AW9D-MAX had was 7x sata 3gb/s ports and 1 esata port vs 4 3gb/s AW9D, AW9D-MAX has 2 onboard 1394a connectors, and the MAX also has an additional raid controller (Sil 3132). only physical difference i see is the heat pipe goes from the north to the south bridge on the MAX and the MAX has black pvc vs the blue on the AW9D

on a side note, do you think there would be an issue with me using a 7600gt in either one of these mobos? or should i pay a $180 for a ati 1950 pro 256mb through my employee accomodation?

the other difference is lots of flashing blue LEDs on the MAX which you may love or hate (you can turn them off with uGuru though).
The price difference in the UK is only about £10 or $20 which seems worth it for the extra SATA & 1394 controllers.

Either of those gfx cards should work fine.

There are alos hacked drivers on the web that allow you to run your nvidia cards in sli config, as the MAX comes with a sli bridge. So i would stick with your curent graphics card, maybe use the money for another nvidia instead of swithcing to an ati card and having a perfectly good card lying around not being used.
