At my internet store AX860 is a bit more expensive than HX850i. Which is better? I was originally planing on AX860 but i just reciently noticed that my store ordered HX series and they are on the way.

Solution
The AX and HX are different series. They started some time ago with some differences.

The HX was semi modular. The HXi is fully modular. I think the AX was as well.
The HX is deeper than the AX. This is still true for the HXi.
The HX has a larger fan. This is still the same.

The new HXi adds corsair link support if that is something you wanted. They both offer a fanless mode for low loads(when the HX was released it did not have this feature, it was added to the HXi series).

The are both platinum certified meaning the generate less heat and waster less energy to make the same amount of power as some other power supplies on the market.

I would go with whatever fits your needs(for some users the deeper power supply does not fit as nice.).

If they are almost the same why 2 different series?

But they deliver pretty much the same wattage? I dont quite understand the point of 2 pretty much the same PS just different names. Yeah thnx for help

Because internally they are not the same parts and not the same manufacture. Seasonics tend to be higher quality and use better craftsmanship. Ans while the HX is good it's not quite as good as the AX.

Well, try to understand, AX 850W can take the load of even R9 295X2, HX possibilly can't. Its all about capacitors, AX has better than HX, but both are great pieces. They're manufactured by different makers, haven't seen a 550W Gold costlier than a 650W Bronze? Its much more than just wattage.

I would personally go with the higher quality AX model. Seasonic makes some of the best supplies in the business.

Anything on this list, in addition to the Corsair AXi series, are made by seasonic.

Another very strong contender is the EVGA 850w made by Super Flower. If you go that route, make sure to get the G2 model.

Those are pretty much the best 850 W psus on the market.
