Question B350 Pro4 NVMe not recognized

I recently got a Western Digital SN850X 1tb but I can’t get it to detect in BIOS.
Motherboard http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350 Pro4/#BIOS. I have tried booting
with all other sata drives disconnected. I've have tried to reseating it in m.2_1 multiple times.



BIOS version 7.40 Latest
What could be a problem ?

M2_2 supports SATA only.

What CPU do you have?

Why a PCI-e4.0 ssd?

Ryzen 5600x
PCI-e 4.0 SSD for future upgrades, but i think it shouldn't be a problem since its backwards compatible with PCI-E 3.0.

Anything plugged into the bottom pcie x16 slot?

Nothing. All PCI slots are empty except Graphics Card.

Perhaps it's time to test the ssd in a different pc.

Either the M.2 drive is DOA or slot is toast. In any event, 2nd PC would be needed where to test out the drive. And 2nd NVMe drive is also needed, to test out the slot.

Found Problem
It was pin layout Link similar boards have same problem.
Used Pci-E to Nvme adapter to solve the problem
