I am planning to buy a 3800x this week. Which mobo will perform better? I am not concerned with supporting the next gen processor. When its time to update, ryzen 5000/6000 - new gens will arrive. I am looking for better performance, durability. No plan tk change anything for a few years. Thanks

Solution
I completely understand for B450. It's like for Tomahawk is the best. and Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE is like a mid range X570.
My question was like about VRM and stuff like that.
I consider the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite a high end X570.

Mainstream mobos(don't forget, over-engineered) with HEDT pricing - that's the majority of X570 in a nutshell, and also why B550 was so highly anticipated - but Asmedia screwed that up, having delayed production for so long.
If you have zero concern to upgrade to 4000 series then get b450. Cheaper and will suit you just fine for now. X570 only advantage, upgradability aside, is pcie4.0. If you have no need for that, save yourself some money and grab the msi.
ryzen's 3800x has 3.9 ghz base; 8 cores/16 threads. I am good for a few years, right? and I am going with 5700 xt. it's 8 gb version seems to have same performance. and SSD alone seems great. So, B450 Tomahawk Max VS Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI
Will any of these perform better than other? or quality wise? I need durability! Need to go for a few years without any problem.

Save some money with a 3700X and spend the difference elsewhere, or keep it. 3800X isn't worth the premium, unless you get it on sale.

You SHOULD be, but questions like these really require crystal balls...

The selling point of motherboards are their feature sets and not performance - the X570s were all over-engineered(especially in power delivery) anyway.
