Recently I bought a new mobo with a new CPU (Ryzen 5 3600). The box says that its AMD RYZEN 3000 DESKTOP READY, and I was wondering if it would work without updating the BIOS with an older generation AM4 CPU?

Yes i think any450 motherboards that been made before the 3rd gen would need bios update but since there still making any created after 3rd gen would be 3000 ready so your safe!
