B85m bios can upgrade an i5 4440 to i7 4770k??

Can you please clarify the question you are asking, like as if you are asking a 6 year old? Are you asking if the BIOS itself can upgrade a i5 4440 to a i7 4770k without changing any hardware? Or, are you asking if the BIOS is capable of accepting that you upgraded your hardware from an i5 to an i7?

no, you cannot just select an "upgrade" and it will magically upgrade your cpu.

you board likely supports those, but you have to buy and install them

So if I press enter on i7-4770K what will happen? And the Performance upgrade menu also lets me have 100% more performance even if my cpu is a non K one.Will it increase the multiplier???
