Question Backing up backups

Hi-

I have a pretty good backup routine set up for my desktop and laptops - back up to a NAS every two weeks (full) with daily incremental backups. Last 3 months of full backups are retained.

What I am looking for is an automated off-site solution to store the most recent full backups. Anyone know of good utilities to move large files to a cloud provider, and which cloud provider works good for large file transfers? I have gigabit fiber, and plenty of Google Drive storage, although I'm not married to using Drive for this purpose (e.g. S3, Backblaze, something else if it met the goal of decent transfer speeds for large files).

Which NAS? Home grown or commercial?

The typical commercial ones (QNAP/Synology) have that functionality built in to the OS.

It's an older WD commercial NAS that doesn't have that built in.... I plan to upgrade to a Synology in a year or so but not in the budget at the moment.

What OS is on the desktop/laptop?
What are you using for the Full and Incremental images?

Possibly OneDrive in your OS. Cause the backup routine to also write to that OneDrive space as well as the NAS.

I use iDrive for my cloud storage provider. Synology's OS has built-in integration so you can set up an automatic backup routine to it. Otherwise iDrive also has a desktop app to put stuff onto it.
